Description

Bottle. Pours a hazy brown/orange colour with a huge longlasting off-white head. Wheaty yeasty aroma with some spicy banana hints. Sweet malty wheat flavor with some hints of oak and vanilla. Also some citrus hints. FRuity and refreshing finish. A nice one.

(swing top bottle) Very dark brown colour with a huge frothy beige head. Dusty, slightly sour and wheat-malty nose with dried fruits and light notes of caramel. Sweet and slightly sour flavour, medium body, lively carbonation. Aromatic dark malty, slightly wheaty taste with balanced fruity elements of dried prunes with a subtle sourness; dryish, rather short fruity and sour finish. Rather uncommon but tasty Dunkelweizen.

(bottle) Hazy murky orange colour with a huge fluffy off-white head. Quite sweet wheat-malty aroma with banana and vanilla and some toasted notes. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium body, well carbonated mouthfeel. Balanced wheaty taste with ripe banana and peach esters; lasting and aromatic fruity and malty finish. Very good Weizen.

Chestnut brown colour. Opaque, with a fluffy head. Spicy, toasty aroma is quite malty and also a bit salty. The body is a bit light. The flavour is a shade saltier than I’d prefer in a beer. Just hints of wheat and toast.

500 ml bottle, bought in Germany. ABV is 4.9%. Not to be confused with Unertl Mühldorfer Weissbier (different brewery, different town). Hazy orange-brownish colour, huge off-white head. Lovely aroma of ripe fruits with vinous notes, oak, bananas and cloves. Flavour is moderately acidic and lemony, with faint notes of wood, sour dough bread and cloves. Light bodied. Like most weissbiers a relatively short aftertaste. I drank it slightly too warm, must be very refreshing when colder, esp. on a fine summer’s day.

(Bottle 50 cl) Almost amber golden in colour with an off-white head. Vague aroma with only a little yeasty touch. Sweetish - almost bordering caramel - atop a medium body. The wheaty esters are quite muffled, certainly no citrus or banana sticking out. Not bad as such, just not very interesting either. 110406

Swing-top bottle: Hazy, light amber coloured, mid-sized fluffy head, slowly diminishing; distinctive fruity aroma: bananas, but also strawberries (!) and other summer fruit, also dusty, malty notes; sweet-sourish flavour; mild fruity (strawberries again, traces of citrus), a bit bland finish. Not unpleasant, but a bit too weak in the end..........

Bottle. Banana aroma, hint of alcohol. Cloudy dark brown colour, big stable head. Alcoholic malt and banana flavour. Roasted aftertaste, not as complex as I would have liked. IMO the aftertaste could do with more taste, malt or sweetness.

Obergärig malziger Antrunk mit säuerlichen Nuancen. Vollmundig, deutlich hefig.
