An unclear dark orange-red with a huge light brown head - looks more like a dunkles weize. Both the aroma and flavor are sweet wheaty with notes of caramel, but the body is thin.

A red brown beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is of caramel, nuts, wheat, and yeast. The flavor is very wheaty (surprisingly much for a weizen bock) and slightly acidic with notes of citrus and grapefruit as well as caramel and alcohol. The mouthfeel is smooth, but still the alcohol prickles the tongue. An OK beer, but not extremely good.

Hazy dark brown color, thick brown head. Aroma is roasted malty, fruity. Smooth taste, bit sweet, roasted malts. Bit creamy palate. Good beer.

Dark nut brown, cloudy tanned head. Sour, banana and slightly smokey nose. A bit thin mouthfeel, carbonated, smokey, citron. Dry aftertaste. Balanced (dunkel)weizen but nothing special.

Hazy dark-red beer; slim head (colour is difficult to estimate in the light available). Nose with a bit of cloves and a bit of banana - and then there's caramel. Banana ester in the taste - in Bock amounts. But it's in balance with the massive amounts of malt - quite OK. Very full-bodied, without becoming oppressive. Wheat-acidity lightens the mouthfeel. Better than nice, without being really great.

Beer nr. 1000 - oh that brings back memories, memories of beer (mmhhhh beer), so drinking the "Erinnerungsbier" now is probably very fitting. Somewhat soapy/sour nose. Looks like a dunkel - cloudy red brown, low carbonation, big brownish fluffy head. Sweet sugary flavor dominates - a bit like in the black beers from Kloster Neuzelle, just lighter and brewed after the Reinheitsgebot this time. On top of that a number of rather complex flavors: Chocolate, tropical fruits, a hint of fatty burned grease and with a charcoal exit. Its a shame the body is so light - a bit more power here would help. No matter - this is definetly one of the most interresting Dunkelweizen I have had to date.

Dark in color with a pretty head. Not quite as much fruitaroma as in similar wheats, but with the fine peachflavors and a body that fits it, the beer is everything you expect from a german wheat.
