Description

500ml bottle. Hazy brown with huge frothy stable beige-white head. Not overly intense wheat malt aroma, strawy and spicy in an unincisive mode. Taste isn’t any more impressive, gets even a bit watery in the middle part, a sourish note in the end adds nothing to be an improvement.

Pours clear deep golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, wheat, banana, yeast and floral, fruity hops. Taste is light sweet and light bitter. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. It pours a big, dense, off-white head over an almost clear, golden body. The aroma is fruity and grainy, bready and doughy, with a touch of cloves. It’s quite effervescent on the palate, with smooth carbonation. Banana, bubble gum, generic fruityness and some cloves in the flavor. Some metallic hints in the finish, which is else fruity and bananaish. Luckily, the doughyness from the aroma isn’t present in the flavor. 120224

Bottle looks old but good. Beer in the glass deep black, nice head. Starts strong and malty, modest yeasty. Fine fruity like plums and berries. Fine smokey hints. Finish sweeter and milder, less smokey. Well balanced and quite drinkable. Good!

Bottle from Maruhn, Darmstadt
The color is very dark brown, almost black, cloudy; the head is generous and compact. Mild aroma of caramel and puke. High carbonation, smooth mouthfeel; there is some caramel flavor, quite dry, with some characteristic spices; the final is even drier, with shades of liquorice; ordinary bitterness level. A common Dunkelweizen, without good characteristics.
