From a 75 cl bottle shared at the 2016 Nuplastik is back tasting. Pours a clear pale gold with a scant off white head. Aroma of ripe golden transparent apples on the vine. Surprising carbonation, champagne like.

2019 bottling: Same nose, very sweet, fattier body, somewhat less acid that creates an imbalance. 3.5. 2011 bottle from the Union Square Greenmarket stand. Shared with family after Christmas din din. 3.9. Brandy glass. Vibrant, clear glossy gold body. Lemon honey & caramel apple nose. Taste is more honey, but now with a bit of rum & red apple tartness. Sweet wood. High acid. Lurking spice. A bit buttery going down. Lingering lemon honey finish. Thinner then expected. Past bottles of this have been flabby. Maybe it’s just the aging, but this one drank pretty solidly.
