Bottle sample @ Leuven Beer Innovation 2015, shared with the RB Belgian crew. Léger doré, col blanc. Arôme au nez convaincant belge, assez rustique dans l’usage de grains, houblonné noble en rétro et donnant une petite touche fruité-fleurie ainsi qu’épicée. Palais est malté, pils, pâle résiduel un peu doux pour une levure gardant son côté bien belge, fini sur un profil herbacé plaisant et ponctué par un léger ajout épicé.

Small white rim over hazy yellow-ochre beer. Coriander, and some malts, but especially coriander. Coriandersoup. Fake citrus. Yet there are no spices, in here, so I suppose no coriander either. Then it’s again the spelt, maybe with the yeast, that make it so unpalatable to me. Light, slick. Ugh!

Italian DIPA with hazy orange blonde colour and thick, yellowish white, moussy head. Lovely aroma of tons of citrus and exotic fruits: orange, lime, papaja, melon, grapefruit, peach... Soft fruity sweetness in onset, fluffy and very pleasant mouthfeel, delicious bready malt sweetishness as a backbone for a wonderfully aromatic, citrussy, ’fruity’ and spicy hop finish, long, dry and complex. Very well-crafted example of the style, with that same ’Italian’ elegance I found in Borgo’s Re-Ale Extra just the other day...

75 cl bottle. Pours amber , clear and with a small off white head. Aroma is fruity, crisp citric and smooth fruity. Smooth peachy and slight crisp hoppy. Bitter and lingering fruity finish.

75 cl bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is mild smoked and grapefruity hoppy. Citric. Smooth fruity and light peachy hoppy. Smooth fruity and slight estery fruity finish.

75 cl bottle. Pours hazy dark brown to black with a small tanhead. Aroma is smooth roasted. Toasted malty and light caramelish. Toasted and dark malty. Dry and breadish finish.

Trübes goldenes Bier mit einer geringen weißen schaumkrone. Geruch bananig, würzig hopfig. Geschmack mild bananig, citrus, Gewürze, gut.

Thanks for sharing! Sampled twice 750 ml. bottle @ Leuven Innovation Beer Festival. Description says no spices. Hazy to murky orange with no head. First time around nose is weird plastic & metallic, plant-quality, second time around more clear coriander, description says that no spices were used. Taste is plastic, bitter, weird, green plants, smoked plastic, other grains,… Coriander second time around. Thicker other grains body. Not a fan.
