33cl Bottle from Burg Bieren. As Black, not La Black. Almost black colour, creamy beige head. Aroma of burnt caramel, berries, toffee, some roasted malts, liquorice. Flavour is medium sweet, light malty, toffee, roasted malts, berries, cocoa, dirt, bittersweet finish. Light to medium bodied. OK, lacks a bit of body for an 8% Belgian Stout.

Clear deep golden colour, lot of bubbles, one finger frothy white head, long lasting, good lacing. Aroma sweet malt, honey, fruity, tangerine, sweet apple, floral hops, yeast, hint of vanilla. Smooth mild flavour, light to medium sweet, slightly bitter. Medium to full body, creamy texture, average carbonation; alcohol warmth in the aftertaste, soft bitterness in the finish. Alcohol strength is well hidden in this smooth well-balanced beer.
