Pours clear copper color with off white head. Grapefruit and pine aroma with some caramel malts. Moderately sweet grapefruit flavor with some pine and a good dose of bitterness. Medium body with average carbonation. I like it.

On tap. Pours with a near black hued body with a small tan head. Some minor lacing. Aromas are of vanilla, coffee, mild roast, chocolate, alcohol and a lot of dark fruit esters. Flavors are of coffee, roast, dark fruit, bready, chocolate, mild coffee, licorice, some toasted coconut, dark fruit. Acidic currants dominate a bit. Viscous. Warming. Alcohol really sneaks up. Thinner body for the abv, lower carbonation.

On tap. Pours with a clear golden body with a large white head. Aromas are huge, fresh, herbaceous, dank, tropical fruit, medium malt. Light esters, with a huge hop character, although there is a bit of a light DMTS (onion) hop character. Flavors are hugely hoppy, mildly garlicky (DMTS), but mainly dank, herbaceous, tropical fruit and pine. Super fresh overall. Citrus and mild alcohol. Medium body, warming, with medium carbonation.

On tap at Davis Graduate
Appearance: Clear amber with a medium sized off-white head and good lacing
Aroma: Floral, tropical fruit , citrus and mild caramel
Taste: Fruity and pine
A great IIPA, tons of tropical fruit and light malts. If you get a chance to try this, do it! I had 2 pints of this, which is unusual if there are unrated beers to try.

Bottle. Pours with a completely clear golden hued body with a huge white head. Aromas are of huge tropical fruit up front. Nice hop character, very sweet smelling, candied citrus, tamarind, and STRONG diacetyl. Flavors are all diacetyl and it gets much worse as it warms. Tons of butterscotch, grassy. Nice and dank, tropical fruit hop notes behind the butter. Medium to fuller carbonation, medium bubbles. Dry. Hard to get past the diacetyl. Good hop flavor though. Would be rated a lot higher with out the diacetyl!

Had this at the Brew’s Best Beer Fest on my trip to Vegas, fall 2011. Pours a dark brown with not much of a head. Caramel, coffee and chocolate aromas. Wet mouthfeel that is medium-bodied. Watery taste that is milder than the smell. Notes of chocolate, coffee and roasted malts. Refreshing for a porter and easy drinking.

Bomber shared by Marcus. Pours copper with very little head. Aromas of floral and fruit. Med body. Flavor is floral and fruit over a little caramel. Intense hop flavors - but not harsh. Nice.
