Bottle number 621 from the first batch (9-3-11). Extremely high price for this bottle. Pours with a hazy golden hued body with a very large, rocky, off-white head that slowly shrinks. Aromas are fruit with tons of esters, white wine, funk, brett, jammy, light metal, dried apricot, earthy, soil and a bit waxy. Minimal lactic acid aromatics. Flavors are malty, bready, fruity, vinous, a bit of barrel tannin, white wine and a very light tartness. Some hibiscus character, waxy, jammy and very estery. Only lightly sour. Medium to fuller carbonation (heard it was undercarbonated at first release). Not particularly dry for this sort of beer. Medium tannin. Okay overall, a bit funky.

Draught. Reddish brown with an off-white head. Aroma is of dark fruits, light yeast spice, a bit of molasses or caramel, lightly toasted malt, and a bit of citrus. No indication of the high abv. Sweet finish. Decent.

Draft at Churchkey. Murky golden color, massive tan head, amazing retention. Aroma of orange peel > lemon peel. Taste of citrus, rising bread bread dough. Decent.

Capped 750 from Beverages 4 Less. Pours hazy dirty gold with small dark floaters and a creamy near-white head. Aroma is smooth brett (oxymoron?) over light fruit. Near full bodied. Flavor is brett and light stone fruit, but it’s not at all vinegar. Earthy, sour, but not something that dissolves mouth tissue (or teeth). A new experience in sour ale. Brilliant!

Sample at Bruery Provisions. Slightly cloudy orange-amber pour with a medium off-white head that dissipates quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Piney hops and caramel malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, sweet malt and caramel. The finish is short and leaves a moderately bitter hops aftertaste. Slightly above average IIPA all around.

Pours a dark brownish-amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes slowly. Rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of dark fruits, caramel malt and yeast. Medium to full body and slightly syrupy with flavors of sweet caramel malt, fruit and yeast. The finish is sweet and malty with a lingering fruity yeast aftertaste. Decent overall.

Shared a 750ml bottle. Poured a dark brown color with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma was roasted, with notes of chocolate and coffee. Slight alcohol presence, but pretty darn good.

Bottle thanks to maltomeal at August tasting. Pours a dark brown with ruby hue and small tan head. The aroma is roasted malt and smoke. Thin mouthfeel with chocolate and roast. Easy to drink, a good Imperial stout from Iron Fist.

750 mL pours copper with tall light tan head. The aroma is spicy hops with muted yeasty spices and some citrus hops around the edges. The taste starts smooth with sweet malts quickly becoming spicy and citrus hops with a bit of pine hops too. As the taste progresses the firm load of hops get more and more bitter as the maltiness fades away. It ends hoppy and amazing but seems to start a bit timid. Overall a weak aroma for the style.
