(473ml can from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours a very lightly hazy pale gold with a small white head. Aroma of tangerine, pineapple, some mixed tropical fruit, herbs, white pepper, a little grain. Flavour is crisp and dry as one would expect, citrus-forward hop profile, some papaya and pineapple, fresh leaves, herbs, crisp wheat-type malt notes, a little sweet in the middle of the sip from the malt before finishing close to bone dry with a bit of bitter leafy citrusy hop notes and some minerals. Light to medium bodied, crisp in the mouth, avearage carbonation, An effective brut IPA that would be nice with food given its aromatics and relative crispness, but I'd take the normal Nord-Est myself.

(473ml can from La Duchesse d'Aiguillon, Quebec City) Pours opaque orange juice with an average white head and spotty lace. Aroma of dried mango, orange and grapefruit with accents of grapefruit peel, piney slightly spicy hops, light yeast. Flavour of dried mangoes, grapefruit peels, green leafy spicy hops, light malt cereals, yeast, rather sweet up front but drying heavily from mid sip with more spicy resinous notes, hop pellets and grapefruit peel taking over, a bit mineral and quite crisp into the finish. Light to medium bodied, slick, softly carbonated. Nice juice up front but it's a bit harsh on the finish, I wanted the mango etc to keep rolling instead. A bit like a more tropical Nord-Est but with the rough finish of the last variant I had.

Can that pours a mild hazy golden colours with amber hues. The frothy head is off-white, long lasting and leaving wavy lacing. Aromas of fresh citrus notes with strong grassiness coming out eventually. The flavours show decent bitterness, but because the mouthfeel is not too dry, this one is refreshing. Citrus notes again and lighter grassy ones. Grapefruit zest seems to build. Interesting, refreshing Pale Ale.
