500ml brown bottle. Poured a cloudy light-orange, almost yellow color. Aroma was very floral, with heavy doses of various spices. Anise, caraway, sweet malts. Heavy on the herbs. I was careful with the pour, as there were quite a few floaties in my bottle that I just wasn’t in the mood for.

Pours hazy, very pale yellow color with thin white head. Funky and fruity aroma. Slightly tart and somewhat bland wheat flavor. Thin and watery with prickly carbonation. I was hopeing for more tartness and flavor.

Pale yellow color, rather close to pastel, with thin lace. Tangy, sourish yogurt aroma with lemon. Refreshing and clean. Nice medium sour flavor with yogurt, lemon, and pineapple. Slightly sweet and not all that sour, really. A bit bland, you might say, but nicely balanced and refreshing. This certainly would nt work with any sweet syrup in it, but is great on a hot day. Would like it to be a touch more sour.

Bottle. Pours a lightly hazy yellow with a modest, fizzy head. Aroma of tart citrus, some lemon. Flavor is tart, sour, with fruity notes and funkiness. Light to medium body. Pretty good overall.

Pours a clear yellow with little head. Effervescent, light and spritzy lemon and spice. Good traditional Beliner Weisse.

Yellowish gold pour. No head. Sour patch kids taste initially makes you wonder if you should spit or swallow. It got better with each sip though. Might have been aged a little long on the shelf of the store.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a glass. Pours a bright crystal clear yellow with a small white head that dissapates quickly. Highly carbonated and medium mouthfeel, Taste is tart acidic sour apple malt. This tastes closer to Woodchuck amber cider with champagne characteristics than Weihenstephaner hefe weiss. Interesting beer, give it a try.

.5 l bottle. Got this in 2007 and cellared it. Why? I don’t think I quite worked that a beer that "keeps" isn’t the same as one that ages well. So let’s do this. Tart fruit under the cap. Pours a lot of white foam over a clear golden beer. I can’t remember having many sour beers this clear and light, except for other Berliners. Sour cherry in nose, but quite light. Foam is gone pretty quickly. Leaves behind a beer that I wouldn’t quite call "sour" like so many Flemish ales. A bit puckery, yes, but malty as any German lager. Sourness builds as I go further into the beer, like escalating heat when I eat a chile pepper. Like they say, a zesty and refreshing beer style, and this is a nice example. Surprised to find some yeast slurry at the bottom. Has anyone tried to recultivate it?
