Cloudy yellow with no head. That is one spicy mamma jamma! Rosemary, black pepper, flowers, cinnamon and mint al lin there. Complex herbal palate is fairly peppery and finishes with a distinct rosemary note. Very refreshing, almost gingery. I could drink a lot of this - have I met a gruit I don’t like yet?

16.9oz bottle-pours a foamy white head and cloudy yellow color. Aroma is perfumy, husky grain/bread, banana. As the beer warmed, the aroma did become lemon dominanat. Taste is tart/acidic lemon right up front. Mid and after taste is tart/acidic/lemon/fruit, wheat-slightly sweet, yeasty. OK effervescence. Not my taste but enjoyable. Thanks to emacgee for picking this out.

Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a lot of fizz and a two finger white head. Aromas are fairly weak... a little bit of sour apple, must, and wheat beer type yeast. Flavor starts off with an apple juice/hard cider like dry sweetness and then things get a little tart and funky. Carbonation is heavy and almost seltzer like.

Bottle from South Bay Drug. Hazy lemon gold color with a very large white head. Aromas of yeast and citrus. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Quite zesty in a citrus mode. Slightly lactic. Slighty bitter. Astringent. Puckerish. Probably prevents scurvy.

Sourish flavor with fruits, citrus, some wheaty tartness and yogurt notes. Medium-bodied with very strong carbonation. A good refreshing beer but not as good as real Berliner Weisses (Schultheiss and Kindl). 7/4/7/3/15=3.6

Half-liter bottle. Definite herbal medicine smell when opened. As I pour, smell offers lots of ginger and some menthol. Hazy yellow with a few strings of bubbles and a head that’s gone quickly. Taste brings in that ginger, but then I also catch the anise (licorice), caraway and bay. That was with the list of spices on the to guide me, of course, I’m guessing that ’gentian’ is the source of the camphor note. In fact, it’s pretty good for my stuffy nose and sore throat that’s kept me off beer the past few days. A nicer herbal brew than anything from Celestial Seasonings, for sure. hopscotch is right: if this beer were around more often, I’d keep some handy.

Really enjoyed this one. It was reminiscent of some of the pumpkin-spice beers I’ve tried over the years. Didn’t expect to like it as much as I did. The kummel and anis seed are very noticeable in the flavor. The palate was a bit thin. Very pleasant, spicy aroma. Appearance a bit on the thin side--looks like a kristal-weisse, though not much of a head on this beer. Not sure I’d want to drink more than one of these at a time, but it was certainly worth a try, for the more adventurous.

Bottle from South Bay Drug. Hazy, dirty gold color with a light white head. Spice. Think there’s bay and ginger aromas. A bit thin with frothy carbonation. Flavor is "grutty". Bay and ginger predominate. A good and different beer.

Courtesy of fishingnet. Pours clear golden. Aroma is spicy, perfumy with anis. Taste is very sweet, loaded with interesting spices and herbs anis, ginger, rosemarin. Ligh malt. Reall wish the Germasn would come out with more interesting beers such as this one.

Courtesy of fishingnet. Pours very pale gold with faint haze and bright white head. The aroma is vibrant, bold and perfumy. Wow. I get bay leaves, anise, rosemary, assorted spices, flower pedal notes and a hodgepodge of lighter and less discernable aromatics. The taste is big, crisp, refreshing and just plain good. I get the bay leaves as noted in the nose to go along with mild lemon notes, rosemary, anise and orange peel. The flavor has a lot going on. Lively tasty and well crafted brew. Makes me wonder why there aren’t more out there like this.
