Tap @ Boston/NY 2009. Named southwest summer ale. Slight hazy golden color, medium head. Quite carbonated. Bit wheat, bit sweet. Quite boring taste.

Sampled on draft at the Headkeeper in Greensburg PA this beer poured a pale yellow color with a medium sized white head that faded quickly. The aroma was bland with faint dry malts. The flavor was dry and a bit nutty with a faint hint of floral hops. The finish was long and dry. Bland.

Draught. Pours light gold with a small, white head. Biting hop aroma, standard notes of pine and citrus, as well as a bit of caramel malt. Fairly rich flavor, plenty of fruity hops and mild earthiness. A nice, sweet malt presence provides some balance. Medium bodied and well carbonated, finishing with a mild stickiness. Not too bitter, this is a very accessible - and good - IPA.

Sampled on draft at the Rivertowne Pub this beer poured a caramel-amber color with a large beige head that lingered and produced good lacing. The aroma was sweet, tangy and fruity hops though was a bit faint. The flavor was bitter, sweet and tangy fruity hops with notes of grapefruit, mango and lemon. The finish was long, tart and fruity. Fairly full bodied. Nice.

Golden amber pour. Nose is mostly blueberry with a little something extra by way of spices. Flavor is strong blueberry, some malt and sweet caramel. It’s a good beer if you like fruit ales. If you don’t like them, then you won’t like this one. Rated on 4/7/10

overall not a stunner, but its fine as a starting point into craft beers. not intimidating, very mild lager flavor, very crisp middle of the road lager. like a lot of blue point beers, very easy to drink but not venturing too far outside the mainstream.
