On tap at Peg’s Cantina. Smulls like IPA. Looks like pale lager with a somewhat creamy head. Flat and oily on the palate. IPA all the way here. Not sure what the beef is all about a specialty grain style that is pretty much like IPA. Finish, typical IPA; long bitter linger like I just chewed on green grapewfruit rinds and tarry pine cones. wew.

Big thanks, as always, to the MCLK. Thanks a ton Mark, I am so glad you moved down here. Bottle pours copper with light haze with gold hues and light tan head. The aroma has smooth dark to musty fruit notes and seem to bleed into a rye like spiciness, hops spiciness, full thick malty sweetness and a bit of heat at the end of the draw. The taste seems a bit organic and grassy moving into thick chewy malt sweetness, pine hop bitterness, a touch of pine hop flavor and grapefruit. It gets smooth and a bit grainy into the finish setting up a very pleasing finish. It leaves pine hops and fading yet faint sludgy sweet malts deep into the after taste.

Tap @ OTH. Pours dark brown, mocha head. Aroma, light oat, roasted malt. Flavor, similar to aroma, hints of chocolate malts, light palate with a light grainy oat presence, finish adds a mild coffee flavor to the palate. Nice and light.

Tap @ OTH. Pours golden, white head. Aroma, well, this is blueberry indeed, light malt and wheat. Flavor, as is the case with a lot of blueberry beers, I get this old moldy berry palate that I am not a big fan of, thick grainy blueberry mouthfeel mixed with some hops and very mild roasted malts.

Aroma: Aroma of grass, toffee malts, caramel, toast, some oxidation, and some soap
Appearance: Pours an orangish-brown color, beige head, and some lace
Flavor: Taste is somewhat yeasty malts up-front, mild hop backing
Palate: Light-medium body, lively carbonation, some astringent in the finish
Overall Impression: This beer is alright, but not super exciting. It could use a bit of work, but it is certainly drinkable. A bit on the bland side. I wouldn't go out of my way for this one, but if you stumble on it, it's worth a try at least once.

Bottle at home .... thanks to nimbleprop for this one .... copper ...thin white lacing .. sweet malt lager nose ... sweet lagery again malt ... light hop ... really not my thing

Pours a creamy off-white head over an amber body. Ok, looks really nice... first good step. Then a bland sugary malt aroma. Then a completely uninspired taste of mostly those lame amber ale malts... followed by mere hints of spicy notes and a modicum of hops crammed in the end to convince you that this is in fact a beer. I should have known not to get this... but nowhere on the label did it say amber ale.

on tap @ Max Burger, nothing special here, pretty bland taste, color, and appearance, got this one by mistake, ordered an Avery IPA and got this one, wish I could go back and ask for the right beer.

draft. pours amber, white head. Aroma light toasted malts, hints of nuts, Flavor, lightly toasted malts, light grainy mouthfeel, with hints of bitter hops finish, med-high carbonation. Nothing ground breaking here.

Tap at Hare Field Road, Brooklyn. Really nice stout. Pours a dark, copper-brown with a fluffy, off-white head. Nose of roasted malts and light caramel. Flavor is rich but restrained, with a strong, malty character and notes of chocolate and coffee. Pretty thick and lightly carbonated, this is a beer with some body. Lingering burnt aftertaste. Solid brew.
