Sampled at Blue Point in Patchogue. Pours a transparent, straw yellow with a thin, fizzy white head. Aroma is grassy, a little boozy, a little sweet. Flavor is all sweetness, white sugar, slight honey, grass, straw. Finish is slightly slick. A double pilsner? I don’t know.

Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Almost black, rich creamy head. Tarry nose with fruity black currant. Sweet and very full bodied, soft with amounts of roasty malt coming across as tar and licorice. The sour cherries are subtle in comparison, making this a harmonious despite the somewhat crazy concept. Perhaps the overt sweetness disturbs a little bit in the finish.

Bottle: Poured a clear medium amber color ale with a rather large foamy head with OK retention and no lacing. Aroma of medium bitter hops with some floral notes. Taste is a nice enough mix between some bitter hops with a stronger then expected caramel malt backbone. Body is a bit thin for style with good carbonation. Not bad though a bit shy on the hops for the style.

Weak mushroomy aroma of barley malt. Immaculately clear amber, with a thin white head. Barley flavor, a bit on the tinny side. Slightly creamy mouthfeel with tart cherries and vanilla in the end. An undetermined bitterness throughout. It has some unique qualities, but misses the mark too.

Sampled on draft at D’s in Monroeville PA this beer poured a bright amber color with a small white head that faded quickly. The aroma was tangy, tart and sour malts with just a touch of fruity hops. The flavor was nutty, sour and tangy with light fruity hops and a touch of caramel. The finish was short, bitter, nutty and dryish. Ok.

Slightly hazy amber coloured body with copper tints and a thinnish, fast-dying tan head. Aroma of malt, corn, metal, a light caramel scent and a touch of sugar. Light-bodied; Sharp pungent corn taste with rice, cardboard and rye noticeable up front fading to metal, bitter malt and gross nuttiness. Aftertaste just shows some off flavours with nothing pleasant - just a funky cardboard and fake taste. Overall, pretty bad and definitely not worth trying. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Spirits on 25-July-2009, sampled on 08-September-2009 at home in Washington.

Draught at the New York Wine and Culinary Center. Medium copper color. Big grapefruit nose; frgrant hops. Lots of fruit with enough nice malt in the background. Very fruity flavor--mostly tropical, sweet and cloying with a bitter finish. Too sweet and fruity for me, and not very well integrated, though the hop character is original.

A reddish amber ale with a thick off white head. A nutty aroma, sweet and floral resinous hops. In mouth, a nutty malt with good c-hops, a bit oily, medium bodied. On tap at Blue Tusk, July 31 2009.

Draught, Mugs Alehouse, Brooklyn NYC on 29th July 2009. Amber with white head that soon fades leaving a fair amount of lacing. Toasted malt and slightly yeasty aroma. Rounded malt/hop blend in main kick then a rapid finish on a strongly carbonatd mouthfeel. A little bitterness lingers.RE-RATED: Draught, Ginger Man NYC on 21st July 2011. Amber with white part-lacing head. Very malty with sweetness through to finish. Citric and fruity in liquid. Does not feel heavy. Zingy mouthfeel.
