Cask ale, half pint shared with Finn at Commercial Rooms (JDW). Filmy white layer over a clear, warm golden coloured body. Lacing rings on the glass. Pale malty smell, hints of leaves. Malt-fruity flavours with a touch of leafy hop bitterness to the finish. Clean in the mouth. On par with the style, more or less. (Bristol 30.04.2017).

Cask pint on 9th April 2017 in The Cock & Bottle, Skipton. Golden amber body, white crown: looked good in the afternoon sun (rear beer garden of the pub). Malty front with a semi-biscuity slant in the nose, taste more balanced with some bittering hop action to counter the maltiness: decent.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol March 2017. Deep gold in colour, with a small, off-white, head. Ripe orange and berry fruits, caramel, rich tea malts and a touch of citrus hop, before a lingering, bitter, finish. Good.

Cask handpull at Hamilton Hall JDW London. Clear deep amber copper brown colour lasting beige head. Malty bitter with some decent sharp fruit. A bit like the Hogs Back beer malty with a sharpish almost sour fruit finish. Some apple acidity. Some dusty hop. Malts arent great. Ok .
