On cask at the Haymarket. Appearance - dark brown to black with a lovely fawn head. Nose - toffee nuts and chocolate. Taste - more of the same. Very creamy. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - nice porter.

Cask at the Haymarket. Pours clear dark red -brown with a thin beige head. Aromas are fruity, toffee, faint chocolate. Taste is more of the same. Creamy, sweet finish.

Cask at Hole in the Wall, Darlington. Golden colour, white foam head leaving lacing and malty aroma. Taste is biscuity pale malt, fruity, with tangy bitterness. Light bodied, soft to medium bodied, dry bitter finish. Quite OK.

Cask @ Cricketers Arms, Eastleigh. Clear amber body with a thin off-white film of foam. Quite mild aroma of caramel malt and dry fruit. Flavor is soft, smooth caramel malt, light roast, dry fruit and moderate bitterness. Medium body and aftertaste. Smooth and soft but not very exciting and quite light roasted for a porter, still quite nice in a subtle way.

Cask at the William Dampier, Yeovil, 06/01/15. Clear golden with a decent off white covering. Nose is light caramel, straw, spice, grain, biscuit crumble. Taste comprises orange, light bread, airy malt, grain, dark fruits, malt loaf. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Ok.

Cask @ Percy Shaw, Halifax. Copper with a thin bubbly head. Malty in both aroma and taste, but quite sugary at the same time. Fairly smooth in the palate.

[ As Exmoor XPA ].Clear medium orange - amber yellow color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, hay, pale malt, biscuit malt. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, sweet malt, pale malt, biscuit malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20150812]

Cask at The Crown Rivers, Heathrow
Golden color, clean, with thin persistent head. The aroma is too light, but the flavor has more malt than the average Golden Ale, robust mouthfeel, and balanced bitterness.
