Bottle courtesy of linusb. Pours black with a small mocha head that quickly dissipates without leaving much trace on the glass. Smell is malty and slightly spicy with roasted malts, burnt caramel, charred wood, espresso, bitter chocolate, molasses, green chili, black pepper corns, moist soil and bourbon alcohol. Taste is sweet, bitter, malty and tiny spicy. Mouthfeel is soft, round, viscous, tiny astringent, slightly boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with roasted malts, molasses, espresso, milk chocolate, moist soil and bourbon. Solid stuff. Bit milk chocolate heavy perhaps but overall nicely complex and tasty.

Growler thanks to AJ. Pours a cloudy orange with no white head. The aroma is strong citrus, floral, yeast. Medium body, orange candy, grapefruit, light resin finish, good.

Bottle. Pours opaque black, small bubbly tan head, decent lacing. Aroma is rich cocoa, bourbon, molasses, maple, vanilla. Flavor is medium sweet, light plus bitter, rich, boozy, chocolate vanilla. Full body, creamy. Some heat but very good.

Level 42 Bottle share. Thanks to Leighton, big thanks for the hoppy haul! Light haze on this gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is airy, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Fluffy light dry malts, light creamy sweetness. Good spicy pine hops, resin and fresh mango led tropical fruits. Aniseed. More spice. Spicy dry finish. Nice.

Level 42 Bottle share. Thanks to Leighton. Clear amber beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Light palate, modest carbonation. Light pale malts, nice light creamy sweetness. Lovely hops - spicy pine, mango, mild orange and orange peel. More spicy pine and mango. Lovely stuff.

Black beer. Small, light brown head. Tons of fudge in the aroma. Pretty good hit of coffee. Vanilla is definitely there but a bit behind those other flavors. Medium bourbon tone. Quite sweet. Lots of chocolate. Fairly full, creamy feel. Not overwhelmingly thick but solid.

A golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, loads of resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, biscuit malt with, nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with loads of citrusy resinous floral hops, pink grapefruit pulp, alcohol warmth, very nice and complex, yet quaffable. On tap at brewery.
