Pours with a dark brown body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up spicy cinnamon, deep dark chocolate goodness and then a bit of spicy wood and booze. The taste delivers yummy chocolate flowing into sweetened dark roasted malts and then thin coconut nuttiness. These flavors are going very well together creating a pleasing sipping experience.

Pours with a slightly murky brown to purple body that supports a thin off white head. The aroma offers up inviting berry and a bit of earthy passion and then it becomes increasingly berry nectar like into the end of the draw. The taste delivers modestly tart berry notes as well as mild malts and yeast. This is pretty rich and refreshing and just solid l around.

Bottle at the second 42nd Floor Tasting. Thanks to Ken. It pours near opaque black with a small tan head. The nose is rich, decadent, big intoxicating alcohol waft, oily bourbon, toasted coconut, earthy roast, dark chocolate and mocha. The taste is rich, oily, wood, decent roast, toasted coconut, burnt toffee, dark chocolate, vanilla and plenty of alcohol warmth. Finish is slick and warming. Full body and fine carbonation. Rich and flavoursome, yet perhaps a bit too hot. Nice overall.

Bottle shared at the Craft Beer Co. Clerkenwell pre-Christmas tasting - London. Huge thanks to Padraig for this beast. Pours oily black with a bubbly tan head. The nose is rife with vanilla, chocolate, roasted malts, figs. Medium to heavy sweet flavor, with notes of oily vanilla, gooey chocolate, more roast, moderate earthy bitterness providing a little balance. Full bodied, slick, with fine carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, with more rich chocolate character, hearty vanilla aspect, light earth, baking cocoa, ripening dark fruits. Excellent stuff overall. Exceedingly decadent, yet still immensely drinkable.

Tower 42 Tasting 2. Opaque black - brown beer, good tan head. Smooth palate, modest fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, good dark chocolate. Spicy notes. Bourbon smoothed off by vanilla oak sweetness. Warm spicy finish. Smooth and tasty. Could have been a little more luxuriant in the mouthfeel but a very nice RIS.
