Description
Duncan Sambrook founded Sambrook’s Brewery in 2008 when there were just five breweries operating in London. With his vision of bringing brewing back into the heart of London, Duncan pulled ex-brewer David Welsh out of retirement and back into his dungarees and wellies. To

Since 2008 we have been brewing beer in Battersea, but after 12 years on our current site we have decided to relocate a mile up the road to Wandsworth Town. Later in 2020 we will be brewing beer on the site of the Ram Brewery where we will launch our new tap room and visitor centre.

Beer Number 14 at the Wetherspoon Spring Beer Festival 2025, leaving 14 of 30 still untried. Smoothish and easy mouthfeel for it. Some hoppiness, some sugars, quite a tasty mix. Expected more fruitiness than there is but enjoyed regardless.

330ml can. Nitro stout but not much magic happening despite hard pour. Was left with a nice creamy looking beige head though. Aroma of dark malts, moderate roastiness, chocolate and blackcurrant. Taste follows aroma, flavour nice if a little thin but its meant to be sessionable in a Guinness like way. There is some creaminess but not as smooth as a Guinness. I enjoyed it though.

330ml can. Pours a pale gold, white head. Aroma of pineapple, coconut and malts. Taste is a thin version of the aroma. It has a nice crisp lively carbonation and although light it is not watery. Very drinkable but not exactly packed full of hops.

Bottle from a local Lidl. Aroma is biscuity malt, grass, soft floral hops, grains, hay. Flavour is moderate sweet with a mild hoppy bitterness. Body is light and thin. Easy and refreshing thinnish beer with a floral hop touch, decent.

Bottle from Hopt. Aroma is brown malt with caramel, rye, nutty notes, dark bread, notes of dried fruits. Flavour is sweetish with a moderate bitterness. Medium body. Not bad at all, big rye malt aroma.
