Cask at The Tap, Ossett - Slightly pinkish hued head to a reddish gold body, good solid top. Slightly tart jam fruits, little bitterness, underwhelming.

Hand-pulled cask, half pint, shared with Finn. Deep black body, bubbly surface, scattered lacing. Roasted malt-driven aromas with a scent of ripe fruits. Quite nicely blended chocolate-fruity flavours, mid-dry. Roasted malt-fruity ending. Rounded mouthfeel. Pretty good.
Second session, 44th Liverpool Beer Festival, Metropolitan Cathedral Crypt

Hand-pulled cask ale, half-pint, shared with Finn. Dotted spots on the glassware from a rapid declining off-white head, black in the glass. Dark bread and chocolate aromas, inviting. Dark malt-driven taste, hints of chocolate and dark bread followed by a coffee bite towards a roasted finish. Rather short. Nice stout overall.
