Cask handpull at the ring bar Southwark. Nice clear pale golden coloured pour with a lasting light white head. Aroma us straw wet grass, earthy and yeast esters. Flavour is light base malts with classic English hop, slight grass, chalky water profile and assertive bitterness. Clean ferment. Palate is dry with moderate carbonation and good bright condition. Nice lingering zing of citrus. Tasty drop.

Cask at the Carpenters Arms, Windsor, 20/07/14. Black with a well appointed light tan covering. Nose is light roast, toffee, charr, biscuit, grain. Taste comprises subtle roastings, cocoa powder, toffee, light smoke. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, smooth on the palate. Decent enough dry stout, easy drinker.

On cask at the Haymarket. Appearance - almost opaque but with red chinks. Nose - rich dark chocolate with sultanas. Taste - dark chocolate some charcoal and perhaps a hint of liquorice. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - definitely a dry stout. Good example.
