Cask handpull at Black Friar London. Black beer lasting tan head. Some liquorice on the dark malts. Roasty yes. Drinkable light for a stout. For a cask beer I would have sworn it was keg. So good condition. Decent. Ok dark fruit. Ok.

On tap at Hack & Hop Fleet Street. Clear ish pale gold thin white head. Lager malts. Some lemon hop sting on the finish. It’s just about ok. Touch of puke. Not great but lemon finish is fine.

Half pint served in a mug, well-kept cask ale at The Queens Head, Kings Cross. Clear amber-gold coloured body. Remaining layer blanketing the glass. Inviting floral hoppy aroma. Fruity taste joined by a backdrop of green apples. Clean bitter ending. Medium bodied. Tasty (London 12.07.2014).

Cask handpull at the ring bar Southwark. Hazed light amber orange colour halo of off white head. Aroma is toffee, light sharp citrus, hay and English yeast esters. Flavour is composed of straw and toffee malts with a grainy dryness on the tongue. Hop and firm citrus and berry with a touch of grass. Assertive slightly rough bitterness. Palate is drying with a grainy mouth feel. Nice condition overall.

Cask handpull at the ring bar Southwark. Hazed amber orange coloured pour with a thin lasting off white head. Aroma is subdued caramel, mineral, English yeast and a touch of metal. Flavour is sweet cara malt, mineral and touch of chalk. Palate is a touch thin with a drying fleeting body and a chalky finish. Lingering tangy citrus. Firm bitterness. Pretty run of the mill.
