On tap at the Haymarket. Appearance - cloudy blonde good head. Nose - lemon sweets and cream. Taste - oh it’s lemon meringue pie. Palate - medium bodied with a tangy texture and a dry but somehow still sweet finish. Overall - this is classified as a wheat ale but I don’t think there’s enough happiness. It’s got a style appropriate to wit or Belgian Ale though I suppose the yeast is probably not Belgian.

Cask at the Argyll Arms, Nicholson’s - Oxford Circus, London. Pours cloudy yellow with a creamy, white head. Wheat on the nose, some hay, faint yeast. Light sweet flavor with semi-dry wheat, hints of yeast, lightly dried dough, faint lemon and straw. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Pleasant finish with notes of citrus, wheat, tangerine and mellow mango. Solid effort.

Cask at Victoria Station Spooneria, 23/12/13. Lightly hazed golden with a good sized white head. Nose is orange, straw, peachy tones, apricot jam, toasted malts. Taste comprises orange pith, mango, light grapefruit, toasted malts. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry grassy hop bitterness in the finale. Decent enough IPA but perhaps lacks a little punch for the ABV, pleasant enough though.

Hand-pulled pint in The Old Fighting Cocks, Oakengates on 6th Dec 13. Golden body with a full white head that gave some impressive lacing. The aroma held a hop front with a secondary helping of mild malts. Taste began with a mixed bag of citrus fruits, both sour and sweet (as in grapefruit and oranges): a maltier feel arrived mid-sip and legged it again before a mildly bitter finish.

(Cask at Union Tavern, Westbourne Park, London, 22 Nov 2013) Amber colour with brief, frothy, beige head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, apricots and resin. Malty, fruity taste with notes of citrus, grapefruit, orange peel and a generous resinous bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and quite hoppy. Nice one.
