Cask at Wandsworth London Beer Festival on 6 July 2013. Poured a dark golden colour with a thin white head (stillage). Grassy hop nose, with some grainy malts hiding in the background. Great bitterness on the flavour, citrus and grapefruit with some cereal sweetness which balanced it nicely leaving a very pleasant aftertaste.

Cask at the Gunmakers - London. Pours clear gold with a modest, frothy white head. Orange rind on the nose with hints of straw. Light sweet flavor, some lightly dried doughy pale malts, some citrus rind, subtle grapefruit. Light bodied with soft, fine carbonation. Condition could be a little better. Mellow dry straw and further bitter citrus rind to finish, some faint grass, light tangy lemon, white bread pale malts. Tasty.

A deep yellow beer. Promising astringent aroma. Taste is average: bitter hops and fruit predominate and lead to a bitter finish. Improves as palate goes on. Too lagery for a good ale, I much prefer Star by the same brewery.
