Tried at The Three Stags, Bebbington. Golden colour with a white head. Light citrus aroma like an opalfruit. Taste slight citrus, malty. Not big citrus certainly. disappointed.

Half-pint, cask at Babington Arms (JDW). Shared with Finn. Black with a ruby tint. Tan-coloured head, solid lacing. Lightly roasted malts, hints of berry fruits. Taste of black malts and black currant followed by a roasted bitter ending. Pretty nice (Derby 21.02.2016).

Cask @ JDW Montgomery’s Tower, Shrewsbury. Pours black with creamy head. Aroma is light fruits and dark malt. Taste bears roasted malts and light hints of cocoa, just needs a bit more punch. Earlier Rating: 1/31/2016 Total Score: 2.2Cask pint with my perfectly adequate Sunday evening roast @ Montgomery’s Tower, Shrewsbury. Pours dark, good creamy beige head. Aroma is light treacle and nuts. Taste is smooth, light treacle, mild roast.. rather thin but met expectations.

Fra fat på Babington Arms i Derby 21 Feb 16. Delt med Rune. Svart. Lavt tett mokkafarget skum. Tett lacing. Forsiktig aroma av røstet malt. Smaken karamell & kaffe. Lett syrlig. Avslutninga er kaffe. Lite variert.

Cask @ South Western Arms, Southamton. Almost clear pink to red body with a small off-white head. Quite strong aroma of sweet malt and something floral and spicy that I guess must be the Turkish delight. Flavor is sweet, malt, mild caramel, dry candy sweetness and some kind of floral spiciness with moderate bitterness. Can’t really recognize the flavor of the candy, but I guess that’s the kinda spicy/flower thing here. Difficult to make up my mind if it taste good or not, at least it tastes different and they’re not overdoing it, even if it’s pretty distinct. Let’s say it’s an interesting flavor and I won’t mind to have another one, but I can’t really say it’s a great beer.

Cask at the Royal Oak, Dorchester. It pours clear bright pink with a decent white head. The nose is fragrant, sweet floral and candied rose. The taste is light bitterness, fragrant, rose, peppery spice, earth and soap with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Better than I expected considering the name and colour. Perhaps a bit too restrained. Overall OK.

500ml at the Jan 2016 Shrewsbury beer exchange group meeting. Poured a clear amber colour with a full head. Malty front with a corn/grainy nose and semi-sweet caramel taste. I thought it fine, decent enough with an easy going sweetness that I tend to go for.

500ml bottle @ Shrewsbury Beer Share, Jan 16, courtesy of Jeremiah Haddock. The monthly knob beer. Pours brown with creamy white head. Aroma is malty caramel. Taste is musty caramel malt with some dry fruity moments and a couple of twigs. A bit dull.

Cask @ Wetherspoon’s Piccadilly, Manchester as Dorset Midnight Blinder. Dark amber-red with a small head. More sweet in character than a stout for which it is labeled in style, there’s a strength in here too.
