Bottled as Babbelaar 2 ( Le trappiste exclusive) . I was given the word by Regnier (Le Trappiste) this is the same beer. There were 2 barrels, 1 of them became the exclusive botteling for both Le Trappiste and Cambrinus, the other was sold as it's entered here. The beer pours unclear, darker amber to brown. Medium sized, very stable and creamy white head. Smell is mild caramel, BE yeast, gingerbread. Nice. Taste is medium thin, nice cognac touch, over the BE yeast. Bit sweet, caramel, tad chocolaty. Mild barrel. very balanced ! rediculous drinkability for a 10 % beer.

Bottle picked up from Belgiuminabox Webshop, Antwerp, Belgium and consumed at home, Wednesday 7th October 2020 listening to Steve Lamaq on 6Music just had a Sausage Casserole with Mash. Pours dark brown almost black, carbonation is a little bit light. Chocolate, soft mouthfeel, spicy, creamy, this is good but nowhere near as good as the Ettaller Curator that I just had.

Large foamy tan head stayed on a murky brown body. Huge aroma of malts, dried fruits & chocolate. Medium bodied, tingly on the front with a smoother back & clean aft. Chocolate, dried fruits, sweet jam & malt tastes with tangy lightly hopped finish. Very tasty.

Bottle. Hazy ruby body with a load of chunks beneath a thin beige head. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of caramel and fig. Flavour of toffee and stewed apple. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel... plus chunks. Soft fizz. One to revisit... and pour very carefully.

Lekker bier.

Bottle from Belgiuminabox. Pours a murky chestnut brown colour with a large thick creamy beige. Nice looking beer. Aromas of dry dark fruits, caramel, spices and brown sugar. Taste has the same notes as the aroma. Full body, lively carbonation on the palate and a sweet, fruity and spicy finish. Maybe a bit too sweet for me but still pretty good.
