Bottle from Drinks Vanuxeem, Ploegsteert, Belgium. Pours a murky amber with a thin soapy looking white head. Aromas of caramel, burnt brown bread, orange peel and peppery spice. Taste has a lot more of the orange peel, winey alcohol, caramel and a touch more spice. A sweetish finish. Thinnish body with a fair amount of carbonation. Not really my type of beer but still quite unique and decent enough.
Bottle from Drinks Vanuxeem, Ploegsteert, Belgium. Pours a very deep amber colour with a thin off-white head. Aromas of dry dark fruits, caramel and brown bread. Taste has a lot more of the dry dark fruits, more caramel and brown bread and some molasses and marzipan on a rich but also sticky sweet finish. Warming alcohol coming through. Medium to full body with average carbonation. Not really my type of beer if I’m honest it’s too cloyingly sweet for me personally.
Bottle from Drinks Vanuxeem, Ploegsteert, Belgium. Pours a hazy light caramel brown colour with a thinnish soapy looking off-white head. Aromas of dry dark fruits, toffee, caramel and candied sugar. Taste has more of the dry dark fruits, toffee, caramel and candied sugar. Also some spices and a little bit of warming alcohol. Very well balanced. Full body with a sticky like mouthfeel and average carbonation. Unique and very nice tasting Brune.
