Bottled 330ml. -from Pivoteka Zagreb. Clear golden coloured, small white to off-white head, slightly perfumed citrusy hops in the nose. Sweet malty, biscuity, caramel, light citrusy hoppy and touch of honey with mild bitterish finish. One of the better British golden ales I’ve tried in last couple of months.

Tried at the horse and jockey, Waddington. Amber bitter colour with a white head. Aroma malty. Taste light sweet to light bitter.

50cl bottle from B&M, Reading. An amber pour with a loose white head; stewed malt aroma; sweet malty taste with some caramel and a thin nettley bitterness; and a twiggy bitter finish. Rather sweet and innocuous.

Bottle, gift from Mum & Dad- cheers! Clear copper with a middling cream head and about the right amount of fizz. Light tropical fruit aroma, with pineapple to the fore. Lemon, caramel and pine on tasting, still with a little pineapple. Quite a rich, creamy mouthfeel. Generally sweet, but just the right amount of bitterness to balance. A mellow beer, with less hops and more malt influence than most in the genre - almost like a cross between an ESB and an IPA. Perfect balance though, which is more than you can say for a lot of IPAs. The real hopheads out there nay not be fans, but I enjoyed this beer a lot.

Cask @ Judges Lodgings Cellar Bar, York. Tropical fruit flavours and aromas are abundant, albeit feeling a tad thin in its texture, nevertheless it’s easy-drinking and sessionable. Copper-gold with a creamy head.

Bottle at Artisan Tap, Bedford. Chestnut brown and very translucent. Looks very thin. Hazelnut, browned toast, mocha, dash of root beer. Sweet taste with bitter edges leading to a satisfyingly bitter finish. Thin palate but the full-on carbonation feels pleasant. I like this quite a lot.

Cask @ Judges Lodgings Cellar Bar, York. Copper with a creamy head. Mildly sweetened ale, but is its dominant characteristic, it’s otherwise crisp and just about sessionable.

Bottle at the JDW Figure of Eight; clear copper pour with a creamy light tan head, aroma has sweet malts and some pine, taste has some nutty action, sweet caramel, some bitter hop.

Nice refreshing and tasty beer.
Nice deep copper color with a fine white head. Fine intensity in the aroma. A bit to much caramel initial, but the hops won after a while. Medium body and an ok carbonation. Ok balanced sweetness versus bitterness. Tropical fruity, grapefruit hoppy, toffee, pine and a bit resinous flavor.
