Bottle. Pours slightly hazy straw with airy white head. Complex aroma of berries, flowers and hops. Vinous flavour with gooseberry notes and touches of hops. Sourish aftertaste. Not the best beer of this style I have tasted.

Cask gravity at Firkin Ale House Folkestone. Clear gold lasting white head. While pepper aroma. Herby white pepper dry really distinctive apa. Dry. Distinctive.

330ml bottle. Dark orange-amber colour, creamy off-white head leaving some lacing and aroma of fruity citrus, hop resin. Sweetish orangey, grapefruit flavour with malt caramel and woody pine, hop bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry lingering earthy bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Cask gravity at the Wandsworth beer fest preview night 26/03/14. Aroma is toffee sweets, vinegar, strawberry and spicy hop. Hazed golden pour with a lasting loose white head. Flavour is sweet caramel malt, pine resin. Lingering citrus lemon. Firm bitterness. Palate is thick and sticky. Slightly green I think.

Cask gravity at the Wandsworth beer fest preview night 26/03/14. Dark red brown with a loose tan big bubble head. Aroma is big piney resin and caramel malt. Flavour is hop forward, lemon, piney c hop with assertive clean bitterness. Touch of roast in the finish. Palate is full and resinous. Enjoyable brown IPA.

On cask at Kelham Island Tavern, Sheffield - Deep ruby red body, thick white head. Nose has sweet vanilla overtones, with the usual coffee and chocolate at the back. Taste is very similar, with a smooth texture. Canโt pick out the beetroot, but it is a bloody nice stout.

Cask @ The Bhurtpore Inn, Aston, Cheshire. Boring, inoffensive pale ale that tastes like every other cask pale ale around.

Hazy copper with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of toffee and biscuit, with a strong note of diacetyl. Dryish malty flavour with diacetyl and plenty of grassy and herbal hops.
