330ml bottle. Slightly hazy red/brown body with an orange head. Sweet and acid aroma. Flavor is a bit sweet, malty with just a little faint hint of the cellar character from Petrus oude bruin. Dry finish. Well balanced, but a bit ordinary.

Bottle. Clear light amber color with a small fizzy fair lacing white head. Aroma is grapefruit !, vinegar, vintage, oak. Initial flavor is moderate sweet , acetic, finish flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter, acetic, with a average duration. Body is ligth to medium, texture is oily, dry, alcoholic.

11.2 oz bottle pours a dull yet clear hue of pure copper with huge tan head. The aroma has big English Noble hoppiness some soft spices and an unmistakable honey note. The flavor seems to center around honey and then there’s tart grapes, a dash of sweet malts and dark fruitiness rounding it out. After drinking my way about half way through I started to notice a semi sweet caramel flavor that added a really nice touch.

Big white head. Deep yellow body with carbonation. Light acidic fruit and wood aroma with tobacco and alcohol notes. Taste is clear acidic wooden and spicy with a touch of metal. Dry softly metallic and fruity aftertaste. Interesting, but a bit too sour without having enough else to offer. (0.33l bottle.)

Himbeergeruch, zum Teil künstlich. Eine saure Note ist vorhanden und wirkt z.T. Penetrant. Wässriger, leichter Himbeerantrunk. Im Mittelteil ist dieser etwas stärker, auch die Säuerlichkeit nimmt zu. Der Nachgeschmack wirkt etwas künstlich, die Säuerlichkeit ist seit dem Mittelteil nicht weiter gestiegen und stört daher nicht. Ein gutes Sommergetränk, dass aber sonst nicht weiter auffällt. Had this on tap at the Sharp Edge Creekhouse in Pittsburgh, this place got to be one of the best places in the states to taste beers. Thanks to mtoast for making this so enjoyable. I was looking forward to tasting this because I find regular Wittekirk so pleasant. The pour is light pink and slightly hazy. Has a big light pink head that fades to a thin film after a few moments. Really nice lacing is present on the side of the glass. The aroma is exceptional and sweet, like slightly sour cherries, not like dark sweet bing cherries, this is more like the lighter red tart cherries. The first taste you get an odd fruity flavor that wants to be slightly bitter but never really gets there. Does not have too many similarities to regular Wittekirk. I really cannot find the nifty wheatness that I enjoy with regular Wittekerk. The fruitiness is again like the aroma, tart light cherry. Fruity, yes, but I’m not too sure if the fruitiness really helps this brew. However, it is something different with its own personality and must be tasted to really appreciate the differences that are present in this brew. Very enjoyable as an alternative but not as good as I would have expected from Wittekirk. Not syrupy sweet. Finish is not bitter whatsoever and this drink is overall pretty good. Nice, but perhaps there is a small amount of artificial character that I detect. I heard thru the grapevine that they put a small amount of artificial sweetener in there. I think I can detect it. This is a repeatable session brew. One of the best fruit beers I’ve ever tasted.

bottle - Pours hazy yellow with fine carbonation forming a medium sized head. It smells yeasty with lots of citrus. The flavor is light with citrus and maybe some banana notes. It’s straightforward and refreshing, nothing exciting, but not bad either.

Can Pours a light pink with a small quick white fizzy head. Aroma is sweet candyins raspberrys and "other natural and artificial flavors". Flavor was like a slightly funky raspberry welches soda. The can it came in did not detract from this comparison. Clean fairly dry finish and lively fizzy palate. eh Thanks Jordan for sharing this with us.
