Piccolo from the website. Clear pale yellow color with white head that goes down quickly. Aroma is pears, already some booze there, some overripe pear skin. Taste is pears and vanilla, booze, floral, mineraly, dusty dry almost, warming finish. Sparkly carbonation. Surprisingly, I prefer the halbtrocken of this. This is a bit too much, although it's certainly well-made.

Piccolo from the website. Clear pale yellow color with white head that goes down quickly and visible champenoise carbonation. Aroma is vanilla, nice naturally sweet pears, pear gelee, some hay-ish floral funk, but overall quite clean. Taste is great medium-sweet pears, floral, almost white grapes indeed, some minerals, nice depth, just a tiny touch of tannins, almost a bit warming in the back. Champenoise carbonation. Very good Poiré, though it does have a bit of a heaviness due to the alcohol content.

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Deep purple with short lasting purple head. Cassis, cola, light sour apples, berry skins, tart cherries, light earthy. Quite sweet and sour, almost medium bitter. Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. More like fruit juice than cider, but not in an artificial way. Pretty enjoyable for what it is

Bottle shared at home. Deep red with some fizz. Tastes like cassis, sweetened kriek, some sour berries as well. Some elderflower. Very very sweet with quite strong tart and medium sour edges. Some toasted marshmallow. Medium body and soft fizzy carbonation. 200 ml Bottle shared at home. Pale straw with no head. Sweet apples, pear, light almond, tannins, hint of white wine. Quite sweet and light bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation. 75cl bottle from trade with Erzengel. Many thanks for sending this Gabriel! Pours a deep, clear amber, no head. Aroma is rich, floral, lightly medicinal, faint caramel. Slick, oily, wine-like mouthfeel. Taste is exceedingly rich with initial caramel / passionfruit giving way to an abundance of colourful, medium-sweet apple fruit layers, especially on the finish, with a glowing woody warmth. A true German ’applewine’, rather than a standard cider, with exceptional depth of flavour.
