Bottled at Købehavnske Øldage. Hazy golden colour with a white head. Sweet fruity floral aroma. Malty fruity flavor, some floral hints. Long malty hoppy finish. A nice one.

Murky, black body without any head. Complex aroma of coffee, chocolate, spices, ... yummie. I wish my coffee at breakfast smelt like this one (it already looks like my coffee). A moderately bitter, lightly sweet initial flavour. Lightly bitter finish. Very soft mouthfeel, but not fully bodied as other stouts. Very refined.

(On tap) Completely black and opaque with a creamy, light brown head leaving some laces. Extremely rich nose with plenty of burned malts and a distinct, warming alcohol. Very rich and malty body with a high degree of sweetness, raisins, roasted malt and also some fruitiness. The body is just big enough to sustain the extreme alcohol. Lightly bitter malt finish. Wauw, this is one big motherfucker of a beer that has obvious Top 50 potential if Mikkeller ever succeeds in creating it again. 210506

(On tap) Completely black and opaque with a gigantic, stable and excellently creamy, light brown head leaving laces as it dissipates ever so slowly. Unusual, tart aroma with distinct, burned malt. Soft and creamy mouthfeel. A surprisingly light body considering the alcohol, medium at the most. Completely dominated by the roasted malts, but not really burned here. And then this odd tartness that takes some getting used to but grows to be quite interesting. Some malt bitterness in the finish. 210506

(On tap) Slightly hazy dark amber with a creamy, off-white head. Fat, hoppy nose with a whiff of caramel. Very full body with tons and tons of caramel and notes of toffee. Quite an alcoholic finish. Very classical American style Barley Wine. 200506

Very aromatic hoppy aroma, getting slightly sour. Cloudy, bright orange/brown colour. Very small head. Syrupy mouthfeel. Very aroma hopped, piney, flowery. Does not taste as is it is as strong as 15%. But on the brink of getting too much.

[Yet another century celebrated with a Mikkeller beer - this time 6100] My version is the first batch and it is bottled. An unclear dark orange-red beer with a huge dense orange head - I also had it draft from one of the newer batches which was totally murky, this would be a 2 in appearance. The aroma is lovely grassy with loads of grapefruit and flowers. The flavor is sweet and starts out fruity combined with caramel, but quite early the hops comes into play giving it notes of grapes and grapefruit, which in turn gives way to notes of grass. The end is long lasting deleciously hoppy bitter and with notes of grapefruit lingering for a long time. I like the single hopped MIkkeller IPA’s better, but I think this suits the broader market better, and it is still a very fine beer.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours black and opaque with a perfect, thick and creamy cappuchinoish head with good retention. Lovely aroma of burned malt and coffee. A bit too heavily carbonated. Solid, ful body with lots of burned malt and coffee accents with a discreet, hoppy finish. 190506

(On tap) Hazy reddish amber with a tiny head. Distinct, sourish Brett aroma. Rather light body - I cannot believe this is 9.2% ABV. Sweet’n’sour with some almost vinous accents. Very pleasant, delicate and balanced. No trace of them cherries though. 190506

Hazy dark amber with a thin light moka head. Very smooth floral hops in aroma, with pinhey caracter, restrained and classy. In mouth, again, wonderful hops, restrained and balanced, medium bodied. Top notch. Sampled with Mtl crew, April 16 2006.
