Description
Foam. It's always been an unconscious calling like drifting into a cumulus cloud bank on a sun-drenched day, or collapsing in a frothy curl of a breaking wave. Foam; it's natural beauty that rises up and is here and gone in a moment in time. I have spent my working life in foam, beer foam that is, brewing beer, conjuring up mixtures of malt and hops to ferment into a crowning moment of beer. Great beer has always sat under foam. Foam. It's not one ingredient that gives stability; it's many interwoven to create a structure of strength pouring out visual excitement. As I sit for a time, I enjoy that moment. All that remains is the lacing that adorns the empty glass and the making of a great memory. Until next time, see you under the Foam...

Poured into a flared tulip, the appearance was a hazy deep gold color with a bar pour’s kind of slim white semi-foamy head. Gentle dissipation, left some slight speckled lace.
The aroma had some earthy pine/resin, then some sweet grapefruit pulp. Light bready sweetness enters in to balance as it warms.
The flavor takes the previously mentioned aromas and adds some berries. Subtle crisp citrusy peel sits in the aftertaste and then finishes fairly dry.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionable to sipping quality. Semi-smooth juiciness parallels the bitterness along my tongue, feels great and just like the great AIPA’s of New England these days.
Overall, exactly what this brewery does best. Thank you Foam Brewers for upping my Vermont ticks. So glad I live in this state.

Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a soft burnt purple to ruddy brown color with a clean level foamy little white head. Dissipated evenly leaving some concave lace sitting atop and riding on into the beer as it fell.
The aroma started off with some lime, floral and fresh leafiness. Light citrusy to grassy notes along with some resin ever so balancing.
The flavor subjects the lime to a nice balance from sweet to tart and letting in the floral and leafy notes to bring that extra citrusy to grassy qualities pouncing into the aftertaste nicely. Resin barely shows here, but I’m okay with that. Quick semi-dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionable quality about it. Good carbonation. ABV felt spot on.
Overall, very nice saison that I would love to have again preferably in the Summer.

Growlette share.
My portion was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a pale burnt bready orange color with a thin finger’s worth of white foamy head. Evenly dissipates nicely, leaving some structured ample concave lace.
The aroma had some clean sweet grapefruit pulp initially and then light notes of watermelon and then far underneath a delicate pine. Clean cereal malts there for balancing.
The flavor consists of a sweet dryness between the hops and the malts. Bittering piney hops are so far underneath, they barely balance. Semi-sweet dry grapefruit to watermelon aftertaste. Quick wet sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Nice carbonation. ABV felt right.
Overall, nicely done AIPA by a brewer that always seems to get this style down exactly right.
