Description
Foam. It's always been an unconscious calling like drifting into a cumulus cloud bank on a sun-drenched day, or collapsing in a frothy curl of a breaking wave. Foam; it's natural beauty that rises up and is here and gone in a moment in time. I have spent my working life in foam, beer foam that is, brewing beer, conjuring up mixtures of malt and hops to ferment into a crowning moment of beer. Great beer has always sat under foam. Foam. It's not one ingredient that gives stability; it's many interwoven to create a structure of strength pouring out visual excitement. As I sit for a time, I enjoy that moment. All that remains is the lacing that adorns the empty glass and the making of a great memory. Until next time, see you under the Foam...

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7.5

On tap at the brewery.
The appearance was a semi-hazy burnt orange color with a quickly dissipating finger’s worth of white foamy head that left some sticky stringy and somewhat spider web lacing.
The aroma charges with the sweet guava up front and then lets in some fresh aromatic passionfruit and lemon drop sweetness. Full and bittersweet.
The flavor balances some sweet biscuity malty notes over the guava, passionfruit and lemon drop. Bittersweet content. Sly blend of those tropical fruits in the aftertaste melding into the finish, briskly.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Medium carbonation, feels good. AIPA harshness.
Overall, very nicely done AIPA with those tropical fruits melding into the bitterness appropriately.

9.1
Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 9 | Flavor - 9 | Texture - 10 | Overall - 9.5

Poured into a flared tulip, the appearance was a dark black color with a bubbly sort of tan head. Quickly fell off. Messy speckled lacing, but what makes up for what one thinks for lack of show makes up in aroma and flavor.
The aroma starts off with a beautiful blend of roasty peanut butter/nutty toastiness. Huge amounts of dark and milk chocolate chunks flow hugely into the blend. Roasty coffee beans.
The flavor melds the roasty coffee beans to the semi-sweet/roasty nutty, semi-peanut buttery sly sticky (but acceptable) portions flowing into the aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with the ABV showing no intentions of knocking me out. The flow from tastebuds to tongue just feels so good - touching the dry roasted edge to the carbonation ever so finely.
Overall, a milk/sweet stout to win them all, quite possibly.

On tap at the brewery.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a ruddy burnt yellow color with a thin finger’s worth of white foamy head that died off at a nice pace. Messy lace.
The aroma starts off with a brisk piney fresh hoppy bitterness. A tad unexpected as it kicks a bit more over some citrus, grassy and pineapple notes.
The flavor initially leans bitter but develops into the sweetness nice and adequately punching the citrus rind and pine into a nice aftertaste and quick bitter finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation creates a good easy going down the throat nicely.
Overall, very nice AIPA that I would love to have again.

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 9 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8.5

On tap at the brewery.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a burnt muddy orange color with a thin cap of a little white head. Quick dissipation. Speckled lace.
The aroma curves some sweet to bitter orange rind inside of some mango and pineapple. Delicate grassiness develops somewhat bitter yet with a sly sweetness.
The flavor brings those sweet tropical fruits to overlay the bitter rind with a nice sweet to bitter rind. Sly dry edgy orange aftertaste flowing into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body, perhaps closer to medium, the more I think about it. Malts only seem to be in this beer for body and alleviate some of the bitterness of a normal AIPA. Good carbonation.
Overall, wonderful AIPA, of course I would have again.

On tap at the brewery, this was poured into a flared tulip.
The appearance was a ruddy burnt orange color with a quickly dissipating finger’s worth of white foamy head that left some lacing here and there.
The aroma had a beautiful arrangement of the chamomile floral sweetness to a light herbal quality. Some mint, along with a touch of honey and then some citrus. Very nicely done.
The flavor blends the herbal/floral sweetness to the citrus, and honey. Mint seems to dissipate far underneath, barely there in the taste. Light breadiness with a clean semi-sweet aftertaste and a quick finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Light carbonation. Mild malty smoothness along my tongue.
Overall, I can see it as a super relaxing saison which is what I guess is what a \"biere de miel\" is supposed to be. Honestly, in my research, \"biere de miels\" are after dinner saisons brewed to be not a dessert beer but just something to relax to. And Foam Brewers did a great job of doing that.

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 10 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 9

On tap at the brewery.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a burnt orange color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace leaving no lacing.
The aroma starts off with a thick juicy orange pulp to rind bitterness freely flowing over some grassy sweet notes. Sly bitter piney notes, but even that is so far underneath.
The flavor yields to the bitterness initially but then as it warms, it blends so well to the sweet and becomes fully a bittersweet blissfully attentive juice bomb, but in a good way. The aftertaste is quite quick, but bittersweet with a delightful easy going bittersweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionabiltiy about it. Yes, oddly enough as a DIPA, this is quite easy going. Carbonation yields nicely to the body appropriately as an DIPA.
Overall, another great DIPA by Foam Brewers. This is probably their best style they know how to brew.

At the brewery, this was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a moderately hazy burnt orange to yellow color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a decent pace. Some light sticky lacing.
The aroma takes in some sweet to bitter citrusy pulpy to rind-like hops. Some light lemon zest, super subtle pine far underneath.
The flavor rides the balance between the sweet to bitter quite nice taking in a sharp bitter/zesty like aftertaste and punching the finish the same way.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation is felt. Biterness feels appropriate for the style.
Overall, very nicely done AIPA by a brewer that is doing a fantastic job of getting it done right!

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7.5

This was poured into a tall tulip at the brewery.
The appearance was a murky pale orange with a good finger’s worth of white foamy head with some messy semi-sticky lacing.
The aroma starts with some tropical fruits and then bites into some garlic to semi-sweet to subtle danky onion.
The flavor blends nicely between the tropical fruity sweet to the danky onion to garlic. The aftertaste seems fairly well blended between those flavors. The finish is quick and leans to the danky onion side.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sipping to sessionable sort of feel to it. Mild carbonation feels good for the most part.
Overall, really good DIPA that I would have again. But probably the first DIPA by these guys below a 4 for me.

7.2
Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7

On tap at the brewery.
This was poured into a tall tulip.
The appearance was a soft bright yellow color with a semi-thick finger’s worth of white foamy head. Sly rimm-ed lace running here and there.
The aroma had some eucalyptus/minty/herbal blend rolling into some Belgian yeasty/bready/somewhat wheaty tones. Some light white and black pepper. Then ends with some pineapple.
The flavor blends nicely between that eucalyptus/minty/herbal thing to the Belgian yeasty/breadiness. Semi-sweet and then the pineapple helps to underscore the flavor fairly nicely. Fairly smooth sweet herbal/minty aftertaste with a sly bready sticky finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. Carbonation seems to hit fairly well. Fairly smooth from the eucalyptus.
Overall, nice unique and creative way by Foam Brewers to take a saison and add eucalyptus. I liked it and would have again.
