Description
Foam. It's always been an unconscious calling like drifting into a cumulus cloud bank on a sun-drenched day, or collapsing in a frothy curl of a breaking wave. Foam; it's natural beauty that rises up and is here and gone in a moment in time. I have spent my working life in foam, beer foam that is, brewing beer, conjuring up mixtures of malt and hops to ferment into a crowning moment of beer. Great beer has always sat under foam. Foam. It's not one ingredient that gives stability; it's many interwoven to create a structure of strength pouring out visual excitement. As I sit for a time, I enjoy that moment. All that remains is the lacing that adorns the empty glass and the making of a great memory. Until next time, see you under the Foam...

On tap at the brewery.
They poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a black color with a finger’s worth of tan foamy head that dissipated at a great pace. Speckled lacing ran around the glass nicely.
The aroma had a big roasty coffee to cocoa bean. Robust with a smooth vanilla bean and then subtle cinnamon, seemingly only to balance.
The flavor leads with the robust coffee and cocoa bean tones. Vanilla comes in nicely. Then the cinnamon just like in the aroma. Well balanced milk choclatey aftertaste with any barely noticeable spice. Smooth milk chocolate finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a decent sipping quality about it. Appropriately carbonated, smoothness takes some creepiness to over top the cinnamon.
Overall, extremely nice imperial stout that I would love to drink all Winter.

Poured into a tall tulip at the brewery, the appearance was a muddled burnt orange color with a quickly dissipating finger’s worth of white foamy head. Moderate semi-sticky lace. Light rings,
The aroma had some starfruit, orange peel, melon underscored by a light piney bitterness.
The flavor leans to the bitter side noting the sharp piney qualities to the citrus rind. Starfruit sits in the background a bit more. Bitter citrus rind-like aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice low key sort of carbonation to it.
Overall, really nice APA that I would have again.

Tap, at the brewery. Super hazy, bright yellow. Thin, dense, sticky, lasting, bright white head. Nose has buttery and wheaty yeast. Some white pepper. Some fruit, along the lines of tinned pineapple. Taste has some sweetness but is mostly dry, with a moderate hop bitterness. Massaging mouthfeel. Light to medium body. Dries out on the finish. Nice one.

Some woody notes, such that you might think it’s barrel aged. Big and chocolatey, and vinous. Taste is dry and vinous. Some cocoa sweetness. Mouthfeel is smooth and slick. Drinks really easily. Chocolatey, nutty bitter finish. Lovely.

Tap, at the brewery. Super hazy, milkshake yellow. Thin, tight, sticky, white head. Nose has a pile of ripe mango, candied citrus, and slick resin, all really well balanced. Taste is fresh, citrusy, pulpy sweet, with a hop oil bitterness that works well. Creamy, massaging mouthfeel. ABV is totally hidden. Soft, juicy, pulpy bitter finish. Wow.
