Bottled. A brown beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, chocolate, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, chocolate, roasted malt, and tar, leading to a dry roasted finish.

Bottle 30 cl. Pours a dark brown with an orange head and a dense, light brown head. Greasy, roasty aroma - a little tartness too. Almost thin in body, again this greasy, messy roast with metal and ashes and some odd off notes. Ends with a dry, rusty roasty note. A very poor Imperial Stout. 080614

Bottle @ home. Clear orange color, average sized off-white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is lightly malts, lightly yeasty and I get a touch of grassy hops somehow. Taste lightly malts, a slight hint of citrus, lightly yeast, lightly sweet-bitter. Average body and carbonation.

Tap at the Brouwcafe, Scheveningen. Poured a hazy dark brown with a bubbly broken light tan head and lots of broken lace. The aroma is yeast dry malt. The flavour is strong bitter with a big boozy alcohol liqourice bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Nice... but the alcohol defines this beer.

Tap tasted at UBF on 10/05/2014. Aroma of malts, chocolate and oats. In the taste a lot of chocolate, roasted malts and coffee. Carbonation is Ok. Very high level of bitterness in the aftertaste. Next one please!

Sample from tap @ UBF ’14. Clear golden color. white head with good lacing. Aroma’s: caramel sweetness, honey-ish,fruit. Flavor is only lightly sweet, but very fruity. Medium bodied. Caramel in the finish with only a hint of bitterness.

Tap @ Utrecht Beerfestival 2014, medium sample. Almost clear golden color, medium white head. Aroma of apple, cider, some spicy yeast. Soft bitterness in taste, bit dry, slight sweet. Interesting, although I wonder if it was meant to have these cider aromas.

@UBF14, helder amber met witte kraag. In het aroma is direct de honing ter herkennen, verder wat hooi/stro, smaken zijn zoals te verwachten een honing zoetigheid, redelijk bitter, caramel, moutig, en stevig kruidig, medium body, redelijk co2, aardig maar ik zal er denk ik niet weer een flesje voor gaan halen voor thuis.
