Bottle @ Home. Pours black with a light tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, little sourness, licorice, coffee. Flavor is sweet, malty, licorice, caramel, coffee, marcipan, alcohol. Medium body, lively carboantion, sweet finish with some alcohol. 210115

Bottle from Mitra Bunnik, harvest 2015, large sample. Clear brown color, medium frothy head. Aroma has some chocolat, bit bready malt, bit fruity and grassy hop, slight spicy note. Bit sweet in taste, slight caramel, bit chocolat, soft to medium earthy bitterness, slight citrus as well. Fairly dry in the finish. Easily drinkable. Tasty, decent. 3.6. Bottle @ PINT Winterbier 2015, 2014 harvest, small sample. Almost clear amber to copper color, short head. Aroma is slight fruity, bit earthy hops, slight spicy, bit flowery. Medium bitter in taste, bit dry. Ok. 3.4

Clear mahogany brown colour. Aroma has caramel and hops. Flavour has an interesting mix of sweet caramel and resinous, slightly piney hops.

Sampled at PINT Winterbierfestival Gouda, 2015. Nice dark red to red-brown color, full sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, some hops and some roast, something weird. Ok body and carbonation. Meh.

Opaque dark brown colour, big foamy tan head, sizzles down slowly to a thick layer, good lacing. Aroma roasted malt, caramel, coffee, dark chocolate. Taste medium to heavy sweet, medium bitter, coffee, roasty. Medium to full body, oily texture, average carbonation, lasting roasty bittersweet finish, liquorice and spicy notes, alcohol well-hidden. Maybe a bit thin but nevertheless a decent IS.

Bottle. Dark copper pour. Aroma of malt, caramel and some iron. Taste of caramelised malt, grassy hops and a little orange. Short finish. Decent, but thin and a bit onedimensional.

30 cl. bottle @ home, bougt online @ Biernavigatie.nl dark brown with a very thin off-white head. Roasted malts and coffee in the aroma with some subdued hops. Taste is bitter and the finish is more bitter with a smokey touch to it. Nice stout but given the style and the ABV a bit thin bodied.

Bottle 300ml. [ As Hommeles Goede Raat ].Clear medium amber color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, vegetables, honey, light roasted. Flavour is moderate sweet with a average duration, honey, cabbage water, vegetables, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is fizzy - soft. [20141024]
