Resinous hops, earthy malts.... Well balanced, medium bitterness, a nice session ale. Nothing mind blowing but decent.

Dark brown pour with hints of red, with a very small white head. Lots of barrel in the aroma, but it’s not overpowering. There are also big sweet malt aroma with some brown sugar and roasted nuts. It’s quite earthy, but the hops are also present and slightly piney, with some dried hay. Medium to high bitterness with a sweet, earthy, woody finish, with some sweet malt, hints of vanilla and bourbon.

Black pour, small off white head. Aroma is bitter cocoa powder and bitter chocolate malts. Lovely chocolate flavour and silky mouth feel. Solid carb, low bitterness, semi sweet, and lightly bitter cocoa powder, and cocoa nuts. Nice stuff.

Bottle, part of a mixed 4 pack at the lcbo. Slightly hazy yellow pour, small white head. Aroma is just malted wheat, and light fruity esters. Carb and mouth feel are standard and nice. Finish is low on the bitterness scale, more mated wheat, and light random fruity Notes. I’m honestly getting zero rhubarb in here. Meh.

750ml swing top bottle. Jet black pour, big, rocky brown head. Lots of sweet cocoa in the aroma, with some lactic sweetness too with a decent amount of roasty malts, and some coffee. Thick mouth feel, very soft carb. The finish is sweet and chocolatey, with more lactic sweetness, and the roasty coffee rounds it out. A great dessert stout!

Sweet burnt wheat, touch of lemon. Flavor is sweet and savory. That sweet wheat flavor goes south. This is bad stuff.
