Bottle. Pours black with a big quite compact, light brown head. Smells of malt and belgian yeast. The aroma is kind of stoutisch and vinous at the same time. Chocolate, coffe, rosted malts and some sweetness.

Location: 12 oz. bottle at Waterfront Ale House NY, NY

Aroma: Slightly fruity, excellent
Appearance: Dark brown, great head, kind of off-white
Flavor: Wonderfully full, strong, complex, enjoyable
Palate: Full body, slightly syrupy, but really, this beer just makes you love beer
Overall Impression: This one was really excellent, seriously great, I wanted to give it a perfect score, I had heard great things, and when I saw it at the Waterfront Ale House, I couldn't resist...glad I didn't. Honestly, this is probably my favorite beer in the world.

[330 ml bottle] This one has been saved since august 2007, and it has really matured well. The aroma is light and sweet with caramell, herbs and a very small hint of banana. The taste is sweet, with herbs, raisins and caramell.

Ok, yeah so I finally purchased a full bottle of this stuff. Lovely muddy brown color with a bubbly light brown head. Wonderfully strong aroma: fruits, yeast, and happiness. The taste of the beer is mildly dry with a bunch of fruit flavours. Not sweet, well maybe a little... more spicy than anything. Medium bodied. Hops are subtle. Mild bitterness. Very smooth and alcohol is not detectable. Quite good, but obviously so.

Tasted at the same time than SB12 and WV12
Brown color with a beige head with very good retention. Aroma ha caramelish notes. Notes of ripe fruit and toasted malts. Sweet flavor, more balanced than SB12. Good presence ot toasted bread, almond and caramel. Slightly sweet final with hints of wood and dry fruits. Smooth on palate, easy drinkable in spite of its 11.2% of ABV. Wooden notes in the aftertaste with some dry mouthfeel. Well compensated beer but with some alcoholic presence when its temperature is higher and higher.
