Description

Wenig malzig, etwas pelziger Abgang. 12/7/6/6//7

bottle, as Kerwa-Festbier @ 5.5% ABV. Thanks to Frankenland! Clear deep golden colour, mid-sized white head. Intensively malty nose. Full-bodied, malty with some nice resiny, grassy hops in the background. Very shy hints of fruit (apples, pears) are also present. Very nice.

Bottle. Dry grass and and light toffee malt aroma. Clear amber color with large head. Sweet barley malt initially followed by a smokey, barnyard flavor. Light bitter grass finish. Very unique and tasty - excellent.

Had this as Hübner Bräu Staafelder Christkindla. Bottle looks simple but good, the beer in the glass is not very zippy. Starts metallically and dry, hoppy notes, also a bit soapy. Finish a little bit spicy, but still metallically. Only average.

Bottle, 5.0% as Osterhäsla. The aroma is on the malty side. Clear dark golden colour. The flavour is mildly malty, not as much as the aroma. Slightly roasted, faint hint of smoke. Very mild, but good.

Wood barrel at Stilbruch. Thick head. Fresh, herbal-hoppy aroma. Has a warm maltiness with a gentle herbal hop character. The body is fairly full and creamy and it finishes off-dry, and with a strong woody finish that is almost smokey. While it has been excellent some Sundays it has been buttery others. Rating is an amalgam but suffice to say when fresh it’s great and when buttery it’s borderline at best. From tap in Schesslitz, it was a 4.0 beer again.
