Pour at Dark Fields of Winter. Pours deep brown. Aroma is very cinnamon forward with notes of anise, all spice, and chocolate. Flavour had a good chocolate base with lots of cinnamon, cardamom, anise, all spice. Smooth mouthfeel with slight carbonation. Really enjoyable beer. Well done.

330mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown / black with a tiny head. Aroma is very complex, with loads of elegant bourbon barrel complexity, dark dried fruits, and toffee. Flavour has tons of depth, with huge bourbon barrel complexity, dark dried fruits (raisins, especially), and toffee. Elegant, balanced, and rich. Temporal's best.

Dark brown, with just a thin head. The aroma is a lot of tonka beans, smooth medjool goodness, light coffee. Lots of complexity. On the palate, this shows a touch of acidity that slices through medium sugars. The tonka is an accent on the palate, but actually benefits from a richer sugar profile (as on the nose). Only a bit of coffee, slight nuttiness. What I like is this - it's got a great profile, and every note is clear. That acidity...it's not wrong but it's not my preference and of course I don't really know how intended it is or if I should have opened this a few months ago.

PoutAroma dark cherry and some rum and caramel. Flavour dark fruit and some spice. A bit muddled. Mouthfeel smoothfeel but minimal carbonation. Enjoyable, but feels a bit lacking. Rum builds unpleasantly.

375mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown / dark mahogany with almost no head. Aroma is full of salty soy sauce, bitters, some rum barrels, and chocolate syrup. Flavour is very unusual, with lots of chocolate syrup, plenty of bitters, some soy sauce, and gentle rum. Carb is flat. Like most Temporal beers, the base beer(s) is/are not strong enough to carry this -- these need to be re-worked before considering more barrel treatments. It's alright, but really leaves something to be desired.

Bottle: Poured a murky dirty brown color ale with a medium size off-white foamy head with minimal retention and lacing. Aroma of deep caramelized malt notes with some residual sugar notes with some strong bourbon notes with some woody notes and vanilla. Taste is also dominated by deep caramelized malt notes with some bourbon notes with some woods feature and vanilla with some residual sugar notes. Body is really full with good carbonation and some alcohol is noticeable. Solid BA barleywine - I would love to have regular access to this.

250 ml can. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tannish head. Aromas of roasted malts, black coffee, and woody oak. Flavors of dark chocolate, orange rind, black coffee, a licorice, abit of oak and dry roasted malts. Super dry finish. If this is a new vintage; it’s better. If same vintage; it’s aged really well.

250 ml can. Pours a very dark brown with short tan head. Aromas of sweet roasted malts and subtle old oak barrels. Flavors of woody maple syrup, oak, dark fruit and bready malts. Boozy herbal finish.

250mL can, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma reveals an interesting dark dried fruit character, spirit barrels, and toasted bread. Flavour reveals that floral, perfumey spirit character upfront, along with dark dried fruits, bready toffee, and a tiny hint of tart citrus rinds that leave a bitter finish. Full of dark fruits and spirit barrels to finish it. Integrated well, with a silky, oily finish. Not a huge fan of the flavours but they work well together.

330mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown, no head. Nose is full of the spices upfront, followed by the amburana, and a hint of bourbon. Flavour is not pleasant—it's dominated by abrasive cardamom, anise and clove upfront, followed by very subdued amburana and bourbon. The spices don't work for me; they're too harsh and mask the barrels. And the base beer is not supportive enough to carry this. Doesn't work for me.
