Bottle shared on the train, day 3 of the post Christmas Bamberg Jolly, bottle from the Rewe Bamberg shared on the train from Bamberg to Nuremberg. Noted as Ellertaller. Pours clear pale yellow with a frothy, white head. Sugary with basic cereal notes, some straw, faint lemon. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Simple pale bread and sugar in the finish, cereal flakes. So so.

Reh Märzen, Flasche vom Landbierparadies24. - Helles Kupferrot, klar. - In der Nase feine hopfenwürzig-orangenfruchtige Hopfung über dezent toastiger Malzsüße. - Antrunk sauber hellmalzig mit feiner Karamel- und zarter Toastnote und einer ganz leicht ins Säuerliche spielenden gerstigen Malzigkeit. Dezente hopfenwürzige Herbe mit leichter Orangenschale. Dezente Malzsüße. Milder rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang milde Herbe. - Solides, straff gerstig-malziges Märzen von hintergründiger fränkischer Hopfenherbe. Gut! (29.7.2022.)

Ellertaler Landbier Hell, Flasche vom Landbierdealer, Hof. - Dunkleres Goldgelb, blank. - In der Nase satt getreidiges helles Malz und aromatische hopfenwürzige Hopfung mit bitterer Orangenschale. - Antrunk kernig brotig-hellmalzig mit solider zitroniger Hopfenherbe, die in kräftige herbale Bittere übergeht. Nur wenig malzsüß, ein Hauch von Honig. Durchschnittlich rezent, leicht mineralisch-hart. Im Abgang kräftige aber ein wenig leere Bittere. Langer Nachtrunk. - Kernig gehopftes fränkisches Landbier, sehr schmackhaft wenngleich nicht völlig rund. (14.6.2022.)

Gold with a foamy, white head that fades away. Aroma is a mix of grains and yeasty white bread. Faint lemon. Taste is moderate bitter the whole way through. Crisp and dry finish. Unremarkable but okay for the style.
