Thanks to LKS. Almost clear dark amber beer, a few pale tan bubbles. Smooth palate, flat. Watery caramelil malts, a vague Wheaty vibe. Ripe fruits. Light finish. Probably not a million miles from what people were being served at the end of the war.

Bottle at the columbus tasting 24/11/2022. Many thanks to Kenny. A dull stale brown coloured pour with a small loose greyish white head. Aroma is semisweet, fig roll, cardboard, stale grains. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty malts, stale, no life, no action. Palate is semi sweet, stale cake, no life. REally stale. Terrible.

Bottle shared in London. Vintage c. 1995. Pours clear copper with a few bubbles on top. Lightly sweet with sugary brown bread, a little toffee, nips of oxidation. Light bodied with no carbonation. Sweet finish, more bready malts, nips of dates. Not too bad.

Bottle. Clear amber with a small white head. Aroma of toffee and chocolate. Taste of malts, chocolate, caramel and toffee. Low bitterness. Low to medium carbonation. Decent and enjoyable but does not feel like a Bitter at all. Maybe my bottle was off - but in a good way.

Clear amber with a frothy white head and a malty, fruity aroma. Pretty thin to be honest, fruity and malty and somewhat bitter
