[33cl can from Beer52.] A glossy black coloured pour with a loose cream head; sweet aroma with a touch of vanilla; piney hop taste with a smooth, but rather sweet, malty body; and a warming piney finish. Rather good.

330ml can: BB 23rd Oct 19. Drank at home on 20th June 19, poured into my lovely 'Gordons' thistle shaped glass, every dark beer looks great in this. Full tanned topping on a proper black body. Not a huge 'Black IPA' sort of guy, but this is OK, malty front to both the aroma and taste with the hops bursting through to give a piney/spruce undertone flavour wise. The hops gain pace as the beer warms a little, but it's a malty brew really, not too sure about the IPA bit in the name to be honest.

Keg at the Parcel Yard, Leicester. Yellow, hazy as expected, with a ring of white head. Light citrus aroma - lemon, orange, grapefruit - intertwines with some banana and cantaloupe. Tastes sweet with an omnipresent hop giving balance up to the finish. Slightly.medicinal aftertaste. Soft to medium carbonation. Not bad, but slightly muted when compared to other Redwell beers.

Can. Nose is fruity, lime, fades quickly to malt, and lemon cleaner. Taste is lemon, lime, orange, orange sherbert, lemon, rinds, jif lemon, . Something very synthetic about the taste, if I were to guess there is something artificial here to give the impression of more expensive US hops. This is one of the worst beers I've ever drunk, it's terrible in almost every way. It takes a real commitment to make a beer this bad commercially.

Can 330ml. @ The Shnoodlepip, London. [ As Redwell Kofra Stout ].Clear dark brown colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, coffee, dark mal,t light to moderate roasted. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, coffee, coffee vegetables, sweet malt, dark malt. 33cl can. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, light grassy citrus. The flavour is moderate to light sweet, light bitter with a light, watery crisp, light fruit, light dry pepper spice, light hop bitter palate. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation.
