Description
The Faversham Brewery is home to Shepherd Neame, Britain's oldest brewer - and while 1698 is the Brewery's official founding date, there is clear evidence that its heritage pre-dates even this period. Using natural ingredients, such as mineral water from the town’s aquifer and local hops, our brewers produce Kentish ales bursting with character and renowned international lagers. Our brewers blend art and science to produce award-winning beer we want you to enjoy time and time again.

Bottle 50cl. from Kelly's @home poured into a pint glass. Clear medium amber, small frothy white head, mostly diminishing, minimal lacing. Aroma sweet malt, grain, caramel, toffee, light orange marmalade, floral hops. Taste medium sweet and light to medium bitter, malty, caramel, biscuit, grain, light orange. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Mild sweetbitter aftertaste, light malty backbone, husky notes, smooth and easy to drink, quite nice.

Keg at the St Lawrence ground, Kent vs Surrey ... dead rubber blast, 19/07/24. Golden to light amber with a good sized just off white covering. Nose is melon, light citric sherbets, tangerine, soft malts. Taste comprises orange, sweet edged, grains, sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with modest hop bitterness. A rather sweet and flabby pseudo craft stab at an APA. Struggled to complete a pint.

Keg at the St Lawrence ground, Kent vs Surrey ... dead rubber blast, 19/07/24. Golden blonde with a good sized just off white covering. Nose is airy malts, mellow citric sherbets, grass, melon, tangerine. Taste comprises melon, light breads, grass, pale malts, hint or breads, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Not bad on a hote evening at the cricket... macro/poor man's IPL affair. Worthy of more than the 2.89 average for me.

Keg @ Bishops Finger, Smithfield Market, London. Lively carbonated golden colour with a thick frothy head. Easy but with a good body, there's a mild sweetness to this mainly hopped brew.

Cask @ The Old Ivy House, London. Brighter golden with a head. Blandish hoppy, possibly because of its easy enough strength.
