Description
The Faversham Brewery is home to Shepherd Neame, Britain's oldest brewer - and while 1698 is the Brewery's official founding date, there is clear evidence that its heritage pre-dates even this period. Using natural ingredients, such as mineral water from the town’s aquifer and local hops, our brewers produce Kentish ales bursting with character and renowned international lagers. Our brewers blend art and science to produce award-winning beer we want you to enjoy time and time again.

Bottle: Amber coloured, fluffy off-white head, diminishing; malty nose with a fresh, herbal hoppiness; begins with only a light maltyness, quickly turns into a dry, medical, long lasting hoppy spicy("medical") aftertaste; a bit too light bodied, but all in all well quaffable.

Bottled. Copper colour, foamy beige head, lacing. Fruitish aroma with weak bready hints. Also weak caramelly hints and very weak hints of alcohol. Flavour of sweet malt along with some breadish and roasted notes. Also some hoppy notes. Very smooth flavour and palate.

Bottled. Deep golden. Fuggley hay aroma. Sweet and aromatic. Fresh maltiness accompanied by a wealth of hops. Medium bitterness. I like it better than the cask version.

Goldencoloured, and about 1cm white head, head disappears quickly, but a 1-2mm head is there until the end. Smells like hops and a bit of citrus. Soft and smooth taste of mango(?) fruit, as well as some wood (oak or alder). Wellbalanced, this was my favourite beer for a long time in my early beer drinking days.

This beer is very good, despite the clear bottle!. Nice golden colour, and a good lasting head. The beer is as tasty as it looks. Maybe a little high in carbonation.
