Golden-amber, thin head, sweet sticky golden syrup malts...nice, but nothing like a dubbel. Soft, again a touch sticky, but also showing some plastic and a little bit of ester.

Golden-amber, thin head, has nice citrus, dank, has a mellow sweet note, touch of crystal malt...basically a good, easy going dipa.

Slight haze, bubbly head, has a nice grapefruit hop, bitter, sticky malts with a fair bit of crystal. Balanced, clean, well made mid-2000s IPA.

Gold, bright, big pale malt nose, slightly grassy. Medium bitterness, grassy hops. The malt os quite prominent so thinking Bavarian. But in that context, a good example.

Draught at the brewery. Hazy and pale, has a stewed fruit element, has a hit of that overripe papaya.

Slight haze, thin head. Light amber. Has a mellow estery quality, and on the palate that sticky plastic phenol stuff is prevalent. Ok, nothing too special.

On tap at Stoup, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out roasted malt, light hops, and dry espresso. Flavour is rich and robust, with loads of espresso, roasted malt, and some dry cocoa. Thick-bodied with good balance. Excellent.

On tap at Stoup, pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out Belgian yeast, followed by light candied sugar. Flavour is surprisingly authentic for a North American tripel, with light candied sugar, Belgian yeast and dry crackery notes. Much more authentic than average. Nice stuff.

On tap at Stoup, pours a hazy dark amber orange with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, light brown sugar, and toasted caramel malt. Flavour brings out brown sugar, caramel and toasted bready caramel. Finishes malty but not overly sweet. Finishes brown sugary and dark fruity. Good stuff.
