Bottle: Poured a reddish brown amber with creamy light tan head. The aroma was sweet fruit and malt. The taste was very diffrent than I was expecting it was alsmost a sweet irony taste which could call for the hoppy bitterness.

Bottled. Dark amber colour with mediumsized white head. Aroma is very sweetish malts (malts with loads of saccharine added to it). Flavour is sweet caramel malts along with lots of sugar...

(33 cl bottle at The Rover) Clear deep red color, fluffy tan head. Vinous, raissin and some alcohol scent. Some milk and smooth grains as well. Metallic, roasted malt and yogurt taste. Spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterness. Rather sweet aftertaste.

Thanks to Illinismitty for sharing this bottle with us at the Tennessee Spring(ish) Tasting! Brown body that puts up a tan head. Rich mat aroma. The flavor just wasn’t there that was hinted to in the aroma. There was a minerally, iron flavor that detracted heavily from the overal impression.l

Bottle: Dark reddish black-brown in color with a thick creamy light brown head. Smell was sweet fruit and dark malts. Sweet candy malt taste finished dry and burnt.

To begin with, I’ve not had a great deal of experience with belgian styles and I’m not a fan so far. It smelled like canned carrots. Amber color, no head and floating sediments. The taste was medicny like bandage antiseptic, although some nice hop notes were detected toward the end. It had a delayed cabbage finish that grew in intensity. Chimay blows this away. It was rather gross overall.

Bottle Hazy blond body. Frothy white head. Aroma: hops, citrus, apple, coriander - very refreshing aroma. Moderately bitter flavour with some soft fruity edge. Very refreshing. Very good balance. I liked this one.

Bottle, best before June 2007 Slightly hazy, amber body. The same haziness as wort has. Off-white frothy head, which diminishes fastly. Nose of hops (with some citrus) and of medium malts (caramel, ...). Quite ok. Moderately bitter beer with some malty sweetness. Bitterness of hops, but in a Belgian way (not the American way). I quite like the flavour. Ok drinkable beer.

Amber red with creamy white head. Malty, earthy and fruity smmoth sweet. Nuts, prunes & raisins. Good mouthfeel & fine lacings. Lasting end. Nice!
