Cloudy orange color; giant creamy head. Dry, Tripel aroma; pine needels. Well structured, quite malty, some cork; strongly bitter, far over the average. Traditional, good one; my favorite by Van Eecke.

Hazy golden color. Malty and spicy aroma; white sugar. Quite good malty body, dryer later; a lot spicy (coriander), and woody; unfortunately a bit metallic. Strong bitterness.

Beautiful amber color. Malt and caramel aroma. Thin body, with a quite good caramel, but a light metallic note.

Murky chestnut. Aroma shows cherries, sultanas, sweet mapley malts, and hints of deeper things that whet the appetite. Smooth body allows mandarins, sultanas, candyish notes, and light maple to unfold. Sweet palate and finish get fruitcakey as they move along. Alcohol surprisingly not a factor here - it avoids the palate and warms the heart directly.

Cloudy yellow. Aroma is lemony, marshmallowy with some orange and light coriander seed. Biscuity pale malts. Subtle citrusy notes, spice. Decent, evenly balanced wit.

Bottled. Golden coloured with average head. Fruity, raisiny malt aroma. Light bodied with soft mouthfeel and a touch of unfermented wort.

A slightly unclear light orange beer with no head. The aroma is very fruity and slightly hoppy which makes a very nice aroma. The flavor starts out bitter with a good bitter mouthfeel - but very little sweetness - with no palate over the middle of the tongue. A very nice fresh summer beer. The bitternes is a very nice complex one, that lingers.

!My label says 6.0%! Orange-brown, hazy. Abundant, yellow, very irregular head, collapsing. Nose gives caramel-malt, biscuits, sweet, candi-sugar, honey, leather. Hint of bitterness immediately overwhelmed by very sweet taste, acquiring a liquorice-character, not outspoken. Tastes a bit artificially sweet, precarious balance. Carbonation seems to have been knocked out by pouring. Medium-thick mouthfeel. it seems to point at better - to the Prior of the same range, perhaps?
