750 I bought for $22 from the NRG beer shop. 2013 bottling. Pours a deep garnet amber with a ring of pinkish head. Nice nose has raw cherry, some raw strawberry too, a little candy, some raw green apple. Flavor has the raw cherry and raw apple, some candi, some pomegranate vinegar, some regular pomegranate. Finishes full bodied, acetic and a touch hot.

Part of a long delayed delivery from belgiuminabox, I am happy to rate my first quadrupel in a long time. In honor of the event I have broken out my Chimay glass to hold the pour. The 33 cl bottle is opened and tilted, I observe a malty brown liquid finished by a glorious parchment-colored, creamy head. The scent wafts up to me, dark fruit along with nectarines and bread dough. The taste is straightforward for a quad. Full grain bread, a touch of dark plums, yeast, malt and earth. The sensation is dense and chewy. A very credible quad but not one of the best I’ve tried.

Pinkish-yellow medium head, fast reduced to rim, leaving some disparate lace over deep dark ruby beer. Fruity nose, cantaloupe, almonds, cherrysyrup. Bitter flavour, even some roast, overlying a cloying sweet flavour as if liquidized cookies with fruitjam glaze. Flavours clash. Dark/red fruit extract. Gradually, the syrupy sweetness becomes more dominating. Well-bodied, syrupy-slick, medium to good carbonation. Come on, Marc!! Anno 2020 it is perfectly possible to make money with something less artificial!
